A workshop in  Ergodic Theory and some related areas to be held at the Department of Mathematics UNC Chapel Hill on

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday April 29-May 2, 2010. Some of the topics are

1) Return times phenomena

2) Convergence of non standard ergodic averages

3) Differentiation along vector fields

The Keynote speaker is Professor Yitzhak Katznelson from Stanford University.

The workshop starts on Thursday April 29th at 4:00 pm (refreshments at 3:30 pm) with the colloquium talk by Y. Katznelson.
It ends on Sunday May 2, 2010.

Younger researchers are encouraged to participate.

Proceedings of this workshop are expected. The  workshop is supported  by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the National Science Foundation.


There is a registration fee for the workshop of 50 dollars for senior researchers.
